lorem ipsum for the Samuel L. Jackson

No, motherfucker

You think water moves fast? You should see ice. It moves like it has a mind. Like it knows it killed the world once and got a taste for murder. After the avalanche, it took us a week to climb out. Now, I don't know exactly when we turned on each other, but I know that seven of us survived the slide... and only five made it out. Now we took an oath, that I'm breaking now. We said we'd say it was the snow that killed the other two, but it wasn't. Nature is lethal but it doesn't hold a candle to man.

Uuummmm, this is a tasty burger!

Your bones don't break, mine do. That's clear. Your cells react to bacteria and viruses differently than mine. You don't get sick, I do. That's also clear. But for some reason, you and I react the exact same way to water. We swallow it too fast, we choke. We get some in our lungs, we drown. However unreal it may seem, we are connected, you and I. We're on the same curve, just on opposite ends.

I gotta piss

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.

I'm serious as a heart attack

Look, just because I don't be givin' no man a foot massage don't make it right for Marsellus to throw Antwone into a glass motherfuckin' house, fuckin' up the way the nigger talks. Motherfucker do that shit to me, he better paralyze my ass, 'cause I'll kill the motherfucker, know what I'm sayin'?

Is she dead, yes or no?

Now that we know who you are, I know who I am. I'm not a mistake! It all makes sense! In a comic, you know how you can tell who the arch-villain's going to be? He's the exact opposite of the hero. And most times they're friends, like you and me! I should've known way back when... You know why, David? Because of the kids. They called me Mr Glass.

Are you ready for the truth?

Now that there is the Tec-9, a crappy spray gun from South Miami. This gun is advertised as the most popular gun in American crime. Do you believe that shit? It actually says that in the little book that comes with it: the most popular gun in American crime. Like they're actually proud of that shit.

No man, I don't eat pork

Look, just because I don't be givin' no man a foot massage don't make it right for Marsellus to throw Antwone into a glass motherfuckin' house, fuckin' up the way the nigger talks. Motherfucker do that shit to me, he better paralyze my ass, 'cause I'll kill the motherfucker, know what I'm sayin'?

No, motherfucker

My money's in that office, right? If she start giving me some bullshit about it ain't there, and we got to go someplace else and get it, I'm gonna shoot you in the head then and there. Then I'm gonna shoot that bitch in the kneecaps, find out where my goddamn money is. She gonna tell me too. Hey, look at me when I'm talking to you, motherfucker. You listen: we go in there, and that nigga Winston or anybody else is in there, you the first motherfucker to get shot. You understand?

I'm serious as a heart attack

Normally, both your asses would be dead as fucking fried chicken, but you happen to pull this shit while I'm in a transitional period so I don't wanna kill you, I wanna help you. But I can't give you this case, it don't belong to me. Besides, I've already been through too much shit this morning over this case to hand it over to your dumb ass.

Fernando Torres miss + more open goal miss' to remember

What triggered this blog post was Fernando Torres' miss this past weekend in the Manchester United vs Chelsea match.

Fernando Torres:

Kalusha Bwala:
I remember watching this match with my dad. It was in the ligilla, America won, but this miss is still stuck in my head after all this time.

Liverpool’s Ronnie Rosenthal:
back in 1992, against Aston Villa

Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo:

The Nigerian striker while playing for West Brom he contrived to miss from perhaps all of 40 inches against Middlesbrough.

Rocky Baptiste:
even though it's not at a top flight division, it is dubed as the ‘miss of the century.’

Fahad Khalfans:
Player for Qatar in the Asian Games Quarter Final, still dont know how these people are hosting the World Cup in 2022

David Villa:
Spain's all time leading scorer also has an entry in this post.

I tried to gather some memerable moments that i remember. I know there are some more out there, but these are the ones I could remember so far. If you have any more, care to share or mention them in a comment.

Life Sucks, Save a Dollar (20 Laws of Saving Money)

its tough to deal with everyday problems, its more tough to deal when you have no clue on what to go. Most People in America have money issues. One of my main problem in life is managing my money, yet trying to change my ways, i came across an article on the ways to help you out change your spending habits. Enjoy the read:

The 20 Laws of Saving Money by
The 20 Laws of Saving Money aim to save you the MOST amount of money each month. Try to incorporate as many of these laws as you can into your life.
Law 1: Change Your Thinking – This may sound like more of a psychological law than a financial law, but it is very important. Change your thinking simply means that in order to save money, never say the following statement: "Oh, it's only a few dollars!" NO! A few dollars here and a few dollars there will add up to lots of money––money that should belong in an emergency savings fund or money that should be put away for retirement and not used for purchasing unnecessary items. Regardless of how cheap the item is you want to buy, if you don't need it, don't buy it.

Law 2: Forget the Original Cost – You're in the clothing store and you are eyeing a beautiful new shirt that normally sells for $100, but is on sale at a final cost to you for $30. That's a 70% discount, which sounds great. But, if you don't have that $30 to "throw away" on a new shirt that you really don't need, then you should not buy the shirt, regardless of how much of a discount or bargain the store is offering you.

Law 3: Be Wary of Financial Advisors – Many, not all, financial "advisors" will advise you and encourage you to buy certain investments from them. You will most likely pay a very high commission to the advisor for these investments when you could have purchased these same investments (e.g. stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities) with very little to no commission, say at a discount brokerage firm. In this case, they are not financial advisors, but simply folks trying to sell you a product and who are looking out for their own best interest instead of yours. You should not only make sure that you are not getting ripped off from these commissions, but also make sure the information and advice your financial advisor is telling you is correct, up-to-date and accurate. If you don't trust your financial advisor, it is best to get a new one and follow your instincts.

Law 4: Indulge at Home – Those die-hard coffee lovers who buy coffee at a coffee shop for $5 everyday are spending $150 per month and over $1,800 per year on a cup of coffee alone! Outrageous! To save money and still enjoy your cup of joe, brew fresh coffee at home and bring it with you in a portable coffee cup to work so you can skip the daily (or bi-daily) coffee shop visit—and save money at the same time!

Law 5: Read it Online – If you subscribe to a newspaper or a magazine, it is best to cancel the subscription now! This is because in most cases, the same news articles or similar ones are posted on the publication's website, which is free for you! Save money by reading your favorite newspapers and magazine articles online.

Law 6: Lose the Gym Membership – It is so important to exercise to avoid health problems in the future. However, paying money to exercise may cause financial "health problems" too. Instead of paying to use the treadmill, go out to your favorite park or around your block for a run or jog. For lifting weights, dumbbells cost under $20 and work just as well as the ones at the gym.

Law 7: Go to the Library – New books can be expensive and since you only read the book once, there's no need to spend $20-$30 on a brand new book when you could take-out a book for free at your local library.

Law 8: Shop at Department Stores – You will save so much money in gasoline for your car if you shop at stores that cover all the basics: grocery, clothing, electronics, pharmacy and more. This way, you won't have to use up all of that gasoline by driving to each individual store. Department stores allow you to accomplish most of your shopping needs at one location! Good for your wallet and the environment.

Law 9: Eat In – Restaurants are expensive and although they can be fun experiences, the bill that comes at the end of the meal can be painful. It is extremely important to limit the number of restaurants/take-outs you utilize so you can save money. Bring your own lunch to work every day in order to stop spending $10 per day for lunch at the café. Open up the grocery store's circular and whatever foods are on sale is what you should buy to prepare for dinner that week.

Law 10: Make a List at the Grocery Store – And stick to that list! If you need milk, butter and eggs don't come out of the supermarket with orange juice, chocolate and potato chips. Not straying from your list of the items you NEED, will prevent you from spending money on foods that are frivolous. Also, it is important to not allow the foods you do purchase to sit in the back of the refrigerator and become spoiled—it will cost more money to replace these spoiled items.

Law 11: Clip Coupons – The Sunday newspaper is a great source for fantastic money saving coupons. There are also several online websites that offer free coupons. Also, check the manufacturer's website for direct coupons. Be sure to not let them expire.

Law 12: Sale Means Quantity – Whenever an item that you normally need and use is on sale (e.g. soap, paper, non-perishable items, pens) buy the largest quantity of that sale item as possible. This will ensure that you never pay the non-sale price for any of your essential products.

Law 13: Replace Light Bulbs with Compact Fluorescent Light (CFLs) – CFL bulbs use much less energy than those regular incandescent bulbs. Less energy means a lower electric bill. CFLs last longer (sometimes up to 6 years) and are better for the environment. They may cost a bit more than the regular light bulb, but they will eventually light up your wallet (pay for themselves) in a few years.

Law 14: Turn it Off – After you've finished watching the news or your favorite primetime show, do your bank account a favor and shut off the television. Also, don't keep the computer running overnight—it is not good for the computer nor will it save you money. Plus, to save even more money on your electric bill, unplug cell phone chargers when not charging your cell phone—the charger still uses electricity even when it's plugged into the outlet with no phone.

Law 15: No Cash, No Way – This law applies to credit cards. Unless you cannot eat without using your credit cards, try to use cash only on all of your day to day purchases (which should be very little!). This will for sure keep you out of debt (which will increase your credit score and eliminate the awful thought of interest accruing on your credit cards when a balance remains on them). Plus, you will spend less if you use cash because psychologically you are physically removing cash from your wallet, which visually shows your depleting cash supply—rather than using a piece of plastic as a way to purchase things.

Law 16: Never Use A Real Estate Agent – If you are selling your home or trying to rent it out, you can save a ton of money by selling your home by owner. Real estate agent fees can cost you as much as 4 to 6% of the selling price of the home, or if you're renting the house out, the agent's fee is usually 15% of the first year's annual rent. Although selling by owner will mean you will have to run the open houses, who knows your home better than you? NO ONE! Plus, there are tons of websites, which will allow you to list your home on the site for free or for a minimal charge. With determination, a great brochure to hand out to prospective buyers, and a professional yard sign, your home is bound to sell. Remember, you only need one buyer!

Law 17: Negotiate! – Whether you are buying fruit from a fruit stand off the street, buying a home or car, or buying a new pair of sneakers, ALWAYS ask for a lower price! You have nothing to lose––the worst thing the seller can say is "no"! For in-depth tips on HOW to negotiate, click here

Law 18: No More Paper Towels – You would be surprised how much you spend on paper towers each year! While paper towels are an easy way to clean up a mess or dry the dishes, they don't come cheap! Instead of paper towels, buy 10 to 15 washcloths (which costs less than a pack of paper towels) and use those to clean, dry your hands and dishes. Save money and trees!

Law 19: Invest in Stocks For The Long-Run – If you have money invested in the stock market, and you need it within 10 to 15 years, take it out of the market immediately! With the highly volatile and unpredictable stock market in this day in age, it could take decades to regain your losses. That's why stock market investing is best for the long-run.

Law 20: Re-Gift – Gifts can be very expensive. In this economy, there is no need for gifts. Try to not give gifts––call the person and show them your love in lieu of an expensive gift that will get you deeper into debt. If you absolutely insist on giving a gift, try to give the person a previous gift you've once received (re-gifting). This will save a lot of money and still put a smile on the recipient's face! Also, don't spend $4 on an expensive card––make one for free on the computer or by hand. Remember, it's the thought that counts! These are The 20 Laws of Saving Money! If you follow these laws in some way, shape or form, money will flow your way. It's as simple as that. There's no magic here. However, Uregardless of how troubling your financial situation is, never give up. It's up to you to fix it and that's what is trying to help you do! BEER ME: Murphy's Irish Stout

Not the best beer, but it sure makes it into my top favorite beer. With a 4% ABV, Murphy's Irish Stout isn't the strongest, but I sure packs a great taste. In comparison to its heavier and more bitter chief competitors, Guinness, Murphy's is a lighter and sweeter dry stout. The roasted coffee smell, Smooth creamy milky taste, Buried roast, but flavorful. Virtually no carbonation, very smooth it's the ideal beer to hang around and just relax.

This is like my chocolate milk, this is why I like drinking beer :)

Ode (We are the music makers)

We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.

Xolos' Number 15

My Bid for Joe Corona's call up to the USMNT. A Los Angeles born winger for the Xolos of Tijuana.

The kid has been having a good year, helping take the Xolos to the Primera Division in Mexico by scoring a goal, and giving and assist. Giving Tijuana it's first ever professional soccer team at the top division. The kid even scored their first ever goal in la primera, and has tallied 2 goals in 5 matches.

But the stats are not what makes him. His game play is solid, keeping the ball rolling with minimal margin or error. He has become a great threat for opposing teams, even with the close and tight defense on him, he remains calm. Many players loss confidence when making a mistake. Joe stays cool and keeps on improving during the game.

and well... duck it, just read Jeff Carlisle article in ESPN about him:
TIJUANA, Mexico -- As Joe Corona sat underneath the stands of Tijuana's Estadio Caliente, he looked content. Despite the fact that he can play international soccer for any one of three countries, there were no obvious signs of inner conflict, no indication of being torn in two. The reason for this is simple: He has been dealing with the push and pull of competing cultures for much of his soccer playing life.

Born in Los Angeles to a Mexican father and a Salvadoran mother, Corona, 21, has been turning heads in the last year for Mexican side Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente. (The club name, shortened to Xolos, refers to a breed of dog native to the region). With his sublime technical ability, vision, and goalscoring instincts, he helped Xolos gain promotion from Mexico's Liga de Ascenso and into the big-time that is the Primera Division. He has already made a splash this season, scoring two goals in six games while playing mostly as a wide midfielder. And his array of skills would clearly benefit any one of three different national teams for which he qualifies.

1st Soccer Practice!!!

WOW, when i signed up i knew i was going to go though some hard time teaching these little girls (6-7 year olds), but i sure didn't expect this. I went into the first practice without knowing what to expect and all we did was pas the ball.

Surely some girls know how to play, but it's the other ones that don't that are just doing anything they want without listening.

Well, after the first practice, i should know what to expect tomorrow at practice again. The girls didn't like my idea on the team name, so i let them chose. So now, we are the Cheetah Girls.

It's a bird, it's a plane

What do I do on my free time.... Well now I'm coaching a girls soccer team... Now to work on the team banner

Santos vs Morelia: Gunshots in Torreon

Credit: REUTERS/ Alejandro Jimenez Aguilar
With the lack of soccer activity this past weekend for me, it wasn't until I arrived to the office when a co-worker mention if I saw what happen in Torreon during a Santos vs Morelia match. With the help of the interwebs, and youtube i saw something that should never happen in any sport.

It was on the 40th minute of the first half when gunshots where heard around Estadio Corona. It was the 4th official who's whistle was heard while running towards cover. The fans in the stadium all ducked down, while the players in the field rushed out to the tunnels. There was a firefight happening just outside the stadium, where a pick-up truck belonging to some narcs was held up on a ARMY Checkpoint. It lasted a while and when it stopped, the fans in the stadium all ran for the exits.

The big questions now concern the negative impact of this event. What are some of the potential repercussions for the Mexican game that was riding a wave of success following Chicharito’s success, the Gold Cup, the U17s World Cup win and the U20s finishing third place in their recent World Cup?

the sour taste in your mouth.

Everything has its limits, all things do come to an end. Even with previous experiences, you'll always tend to go at it again. Maybe it's just me, but sometimes i cant help it. I would think i've change, but i still dont know if it's worth it.

It's always easier to give advise to people, but sometimes its hard for you to take your own advise. It's possibly that extra motivation one gets form some one else telling them what they already know. Or maybe we are just stuck in denial. Sorry if i don't make sense, but if you can see I'm in a bit state of confusion. I would always have a person to talk to in these situations.

i just lost my train of thought.

see the next post why. :)

talking about her.

Sometimes its easier to write about other people then your self. I would say I just met her, but its been a while already, to put the exact date on it, it was on May 28th this year. The only reason i remember that is because it was the day ManU lost to Barcelona in the Champions League Final :) We started to get along really quick. Kind to think of it, I can't seem to remember a day i didn't see, talk, or text her since then. So I'm pretty sure i can come up things to say about her.

Ever since the shutdown of Limewire, most of you have been asking me where to download music. Well unfortunately I just started buying the music on iTunes. But there is another way.

I don't know how many of you guys know or have heard about GROOVESHARK. Well, little brief info on it. Grooveshark is a free online jukebox service where users can search for tracks and listen to them through a Web-based player that can be controlled just like a software jukebox application click here
to read more about grooveshark

Now there is a way to get the music from there. There is a ad-on on the mozilla firefox that allows you to rip music off from Grooveshark. You can download the ad-on by clicking here or the link at the bottom of this post

to pretty much help you out, I found this video that could demonstrate how to get music for free :)

trip to HDC

Sorry... No pix, phone's battery life sux, but great time with friends, family, and JJ.

About 8,000 people showed up to watch the game last night, pretty small crowed, easily got my hands on 8 ticket for $5/each. I arrived at the game late, as someone had forgot to print out the ticket (me). But at the moment i was walking down to my seats, AJ DeLaGarza's past inside the penalty area was good enough so Adam Cristman could tap it in for the 1-0 lead.

Adam Cristman was involve, i was not to happy with his performance, then i notice something... Dude has done more then JPA did all year, so I give him a pass.

The game we pretty exiting, Motagua's keeper really had long night. Even getting lucky when Cristman attempt to push it the ball in with his chest failed.

It wasn't until the 2nd half when the Galaxy closed out the game with a nice Beckham to Donovan goal. Looked so nice, and looked so natural. The game ended a 2-0 victory for the Home team.

We had fun, we had beer, and we had cotton candy. Even JJ was exited to see the Becks. (jealous.jpg).

Galaxy Game Days

For those who don't know by now, This year I've been emotionally attached to the Soccer world like no other. Today, Our beloved team of Los Angeles faces off, in what has to be a great game versus Club Motagua from Honduras. This game is for the CONCACAF Champions League.

The week started with the signing of Irish footballer Robbie Keane. This ends the spell of Juan Pablo Angel, who since his arrival at the Galaxy has had one of his worst years of his career.

Well aside from all the that, should be a good game, so talk to you guys later. I'll have some pic up after the game :)

El Fua (Fuerza Universal Aplicada) is the name given to a type of spiritual energy described by a drunk vagabond on the streets of Nayarit, Mexico. The term originated from a news interview with a man on the street who claimed to have psychic powers of “FUA,” which he drunkenly explained as an “inner strength” that can be released to overcome any kind of difficulties, in similar vein to the concept of Chi (Ki) in Eastern philosophy.

Let's Talk Soccer

Uncle Sam's Army is in Philadelphia ready to take on the Gold Cup Champions Mexico in a friendly where the new head honcho of the US team Jurgen Klinsmann will make his mark.

Last time these two team faced each other was in the Gold Cup final in front of a sell out crowed in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.

Mexico comes in with 9 starters from last game, only Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez was not called due to a recent concision he received while at practice with Manchester United. His back up, Aldo De Nigris is also out with an injury. My third choice would be Carlos Vela, but do to his lack of game play at club lever with Arsenal, he was left out for this one as well. We would see who De la Torre pics for the man in front.

Dos Santos dribbles away from Howard
For the US, its a new beginning, No more Bradly means no more Bornstein.. and more Edgar Castillo. Klinsmann made it obvious, we need to get these Mexican-Americans into the US game. Both Edgar Castillo, who plays for Club America) and Michael Orozco (currently in San Luis) are getting their second shot at the international level, while José Francisco Torres would also get his return to the US National team.

With the teams ready to face off in a couple hours, I'm exited to say... I love these two teams.
